Erotic Poetry Deep-Dive

Do you want to write about sex and sensuality, but you're not sure how? Do you want to be introduced to the poets who write sex the best, the steamiest, the strangest? Do you believe in the sensuality of language itself? If so, this five-week erotic poetry class (designed for beginners and beyond) should be a wonderful fit.
Each week, we’ll close read a contemporary poet who writes the erotic in exciting, inventive ways. You'll emerge with an expanded erotic library, alongside new poems (prompt will be provided). This is a generative class, focused on craft and the joy of making. We’ll read poems, we’ll write poems, we’ll talk about poems, we’ll share our own poems with each other: a poetry-palooza!

"The mind acts, the mind wills a poem, often against our own will; somehow this happens, somehow a poem gets written in the middle of a chaotic holiday party that has just run out of ice, and it's your house."
--Mary Ruefle, from "On Beginnings"
